The Building Use Committee has oversight of short-term use of Community Hall and Jacobs Road. Short-term is defined as less than 9 months. Click the link below appropriate to your use.

1)  Private and Community Use: Fees apply for private and community use except for (1) funerals or memorials, or (2) community events open to the public and sponsored by a town board or committee, or where the fee is waived by the Select Board. Click on Private and Community Use to bring up rental information and an application for use. Click on the Building Use Calendar to check availability.

2)  Municipal Use: Use by a Town board, committee, department, or employee acting in their official capacity.  Click on Building Use Calendar to make a Municipal Request.

Shared Public Use at 18 Jacobs Road

  • The grounds at Jacobs Road are available to residents any time with the exception of areas in use by Hilltown Theater.

  • The atrium, cafeteria, gym, and bathrooms are available to residents to drop-in any time the building is open for municipal use except when these areas have been scheduled. See the Building Use Calendar.  Use  Select Location  to choose the space you are interested in, and then select Filter to see only that space.

  • Scheduling conflicts with Hilltown Theater are to be negotiated by the Town Coordinator, Hilma Sumner.

Charge
The charge of the Building Use Committee is to assist the Select Board in the promotion, management, and oversight of the use and rental of the Community Hall, 18 Jacobs Road, and other municipal property that the Board designates as available.
