Heath Parks & Rec Committee Raises $730 for Town Center Court
A Pickleball Clinic was held Aug 23 & 24 at Jacobs Road to raise money towards Heath's share of a grant to re-surface the Town Center court.
The Heath Parks and Recreation Committee has applied for a grant to re-surface the basketball/pickleball court in the Town Center. A representative from Massachusetts PARC (Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities) Grant Program has visited the site. Parks & Rec is now seeking qoutes for re-surfacing the court to provide to the PARC representive. The outlook seems positve and Parks & Rec will continue to need funds towards their share of the grant.
Parks and Rec held a clinic led by Linda Ingram, a former instructor for the Boston Pickle Club and a rated amateur player who recently won silver in her class at the 2025 English Open in Telford. There were group and semi-private sessions held Saturday August 23 and 24 and all available slots were filled which netted $730 from the clinic alone and there was an additional donation of $25.
If you wish to donate you can make out a check to Town of Heath, and note that the donation is for the P & R Recreation Fund. The money in this fund is targeted for Parks & Rec's share of the grant. If we don't get the grant, the money will go towards other P & R initiatives which are listed on our page.
