Artistic Work Wanted
Work Created by Heath Artisans Sought
Now that the plague has somewhat dissipated, once again it is time to gather to celebrate the creativity of Heath artists. The ad hoc arts committee has chosen Labor Day week to exhibit the works of the artists of Heath. The show will be open in the Community Hall, Saturday, September 4, from 10 am to 1 pm. The next day, September 5th, a reception for the artists will begin at 2 pm at the Community Hall. “The Uncles of the Pioneer Valley” will provide the music. The gathering will be both inside and out in order to reduce crowding. Snacks will be provided. The other time the venue will be open can be found on the community calendar.
In the past, over 30 artists have exhibited. Works have included photography, oil, acrylic, watercolor pen and ink, textiles of every kind, furniture, felt, mixed media and blown glass. With an extra year for artists to prepare work, we expect that this year’s exhibit will be extra strong.
If you would like to show some work and have not yet been contacted, please call or text Harry Hallman at 413-325-1402 or email at hwhallman@hughes.net. This is a non-juried exhibit and all are encouraged to display up to three works of art.
Put the reception date on your calendar or tape to your refrigerator. September 5, 2021 at 2 pm.
The Heath Arts Exhibition is funded in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Heath Cultural Council.
