Dog Licensing & Rabies Clinic
***** See the flyer for details: 2024 Rabies Clinic.pdf
Puppies must be licensed by six months of age. New, older dogs and those belonging to new residents must be licensed within 30 days. Dog licenses are available at the Town Clerk's Office. Annual renewal of dog licenses takes place from February 13 to March 31.
In order to license your dog(s), we will need:
- A valid rabies certificate
- The appropriate fee (fees are $5 for each spayed female or neutered male dog; $10 for any intact dog) either in cash or check made payable to: Town of Heath
- A certificate of spaying/neutering, if applicable
Please send a copy of the valid rabies certificate along with a self-addressed stamped envelope (must have a non-machineable stamp or extra postage on envelope) and the appropriate licensing fee to:
Office of the Town Clerk,
Town of Heath, PO Box 35
Heath, MA 01346
We will mail the tag back to you as soon as possible. You may also stop by the Town Clerk's office during office hours, although it is recommended to call to make an appointment.
As a reminder, all dogs must be registered by March 31st. Dogs registered after that date will be assessed a late fee of $25.00 per dog, unless it is a new dog for the owner. Failure to license your dog may result in a criminal complaint being issued, along with the additional fines.
